BATHROOM
Our goal was to design a contemporary master bathroom with rich textures and colors, complemented by layered lighting, avoiding can lights as per the client’s request. The design
centered around a hand-carved granite bathtub, with sleek porcelain flooring and tub
surround setting a modern tone. Fluted marble enclosed the shower, while whimsical mirrored
tiles added a pop of color to the toilet room.
To compensate for the absence of can lights, a black walnut slatted fixture was created, serving both as a design element and discreet lighting for the mirror. Custom indirect soffits provide overall illumination, strategically angled for optimal brightness without being intrusive, reflecting our meticulous attention to detail in crafting this exceptional space.
BEDROOM
The Primary Bedroom was designed around the client’s love of the “bubble bed”.
The bed’s headboard is deep, and required a custom designed set of nightstands to accommodate this feature. The radius design of the nightstands was created to support the visual roundness of the bed.
Again since the client did not want any can lighting we worked around this request. A custom soffit was designed for general mood lighting, to wrap around the perimeter of the bedroom. The soffit allowed the room to feel more intimate, since the highest point of the ceiling measured at twenty feet. This added a softness to illuminating the space.
To add another layer of lighting, we designed a custom angled baseboard of black walnut, and ran LED lighting strips through the baseboard. The entryway needed a lighting fixture. For this
design we took 8 individual glass balls and created a pattern of different colors to create a lighting sculpture.
To enhance the entryway, we curated a bespoke lighting fixture by using eight individual glass balls arranged in a pattern of diverse colors, resulting in an illuminating sculpture
